Mekong Ministries has the vision to see churches amongst every Mekong People group that are spiritually healthy and glorifying God, reaching beyond themselves and planting churches in nearby unreached villages and unreached people groups. We do this by catalyzing Disciple Making Movements/Church Planting Movements through evangelism using oral means, such as chronological Bible storying, with an emphasis on lay and local leadership, non-dependency forming methods, and training of those who are then able to train others (2 Timothy 2:2). We make prayer a priority, integrating it with our church planting ministry every step. We have strategic prayer walking teams – focusing on unreached peoples in Laos, Myanmar, China and Thailand. Our various ministry projects are all focused on the End Vision of loving God, loving others and making disciples who make disciples. A few of our projects are FM and Short wave radio broadcasts, medical ministry and mercy ministry that includes distributing mosquito nets and blankets, and many more.
The Mekong Ministries Team is made up of people from different nationalities, and ethnicities, and encompasses the broad evangelical and charismatic spectrum of the Church of Christ. We also serve at multiple ministry sites. We work together for the sake of the gospel, guided by the Holy Spirit while focused on the End Vision we believe the Lord has given us. We believe that all the gifts in the body of Christ, skills, talents, passions and abilities can be harnessed and directed at reaching the end vision and fulfilling Jesus’ commandment to His church, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
